Spring and fall offer mild temperatures and much fewer crowds making this the prime seasons for elopements. Summer sees meadows and trails, ideal for adventurous hikes. If you love winter, think about a snowy elopement, just be prepared for logistics!

Before you get carried away with planning, remember that most outdoor locations in the Dolomites are part of protected park areas, and permits are often required for ceremonies. Make sure you do your homework on the specific region where you plan to elope. It’s wise to get in touch with local authorities or hire a local planner who knows the ins and outs of the area!

Mountain weather is unpredictable, even in the warmer months. Layers are your best friends, think thermal undergarments and a coat.
